Welcome to the home page of DeSoto Parish Fire District #5.  DPFD5 covers 118 sq. miles of the South West corner of DeSoto Parish, Louisiana.  The department is comprised of 40 active volunteer firefighters, as well as 4 Pumpers, 4 Tankers and 1 Brush/Rescue Truck that are housed in 4 stations.  The communities protected by  DPFD5 include Stanley, Lula and Hunter, with a population of 2,000 residents. DPFD5 has recently earned a class 4  rating by the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana.

At the request of the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana DeSoto Parish Fire District #5 will be phasing out the use of our private emergency phone line 697-6827. Any one  needing to report an emergency needs to contact 911 immediately and they will dispatch your call out to us.
